More Star Trek casting

Some really intersting casting choices that J.J. is making for Star Trek

Bruce Greenwood is Capt. Christopher Pike

Rachel Nichols is unconfirmed but likely as Yeoman Janice Rand

and the arguably bizarre casting of Winona Ryder (36) as Spock's mother, Amanda

---

So I guess they are going to do some, hopefully, realistic aging on her.
Spock's mother??? Is this going to be a flashback to Spock's early childhood? I sure hope so.

Shaping up to be pretty interesting.

Chris Pine is James T Kirk

Karl Urban has supposedly been offered Dr. McCoy

Simon Pegg is Scotty

John Cho is Sulu

Anton Yelchin is Chekov

Eric Bana is the villain, Nero. Rumored to be a Romulan.

Leonard Nimoy will play an old Spock and it is possible that Shatner will play old Kirk.

Star Trek: New Voyages

Here's some more Trek fan-filmage. Only two completed episodes so far.
These guys built the sets that the "Of Gods and Men" folks are using.
1st episode is not bad - although a bit convoluted :-)
They've improved a lot with episode two. Walter Koenig (Chekov) stars in that one.
