Star Trek: New Voyages
Jan. 20th, 2007 01:17 pmThese guys built the sets that the "Of Gods and Men" folks are using.
1st episode is not bad - although a bit convoluted :-)
They've improved a lot with episode two. Walter Koenig (Chekov) stars in that one.

Clinton Launches 2008 Presidential Bid

WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton made her long-anticipated entrance today into a crowded field of Democratic presidential candidates, aiming to win the 2008 party nomination and become the first woman in the White House, a historic quest that would cap an audacious and sometimes-controversial political career that has taken her from First Lady to a New York Senate seat.
“I’m in,” she said in an uncharacteristically-blunt statement carried today on her newly-unveiled campaign website. “And I’m in to win.”

Not unexpected of course. I’ve got to say that I’m disappointed in her statement. It’s very negative. She’s not a uniter and a uniter is what we sorely need. Although I would LOVE to have a woman President I’m going to stick with Obama.
My message to Hillary

Hillary is soliciting comments on her campaign site. Here’s mine.
“Hello from a former Arkansas resident! I’ve followed you since 1978 (from the time I was 10 years old) and I’ve been amazed at the long path you’ve taken from First Lady of Arkansas to US Senator from New York. Congratulations on all your success!
I expected to see you in this spot one day and I feel certain that the country is more than ready for a woman as President.
My message is that I hope you can take a very positive and uniting road.
Everyone knows how badly Bush has bungled things and I really don’t think it serves anyone well to make it the lead to your statements or to harp on it.
The one thing that Barack Obama has going for him above all else is that he is positive. He’s a uniter. He talks about what a fantastic country we have and the fact that we all share it and that we all want very similar things. That’s a good road to take. That’s a wonderful road to take. Show us some ideals and some real vision. Show us your love for this country. Show us your love for freedom and our Constitution. Show us your love for this planet and all of humanity.
Those are things that President Bush doesn’t show. Those are things he doesn’t seem to really grasp. He’s arrogant and negative. You taking the high road will make him look just like the failure he has been for us all.
Good Luck on your campaign!”
