And I have voted.
There were a TON of people at the early voter place here in Mesquite.
Cops were directing traffic.
I had to use an electronic voting station for the first time.
Made me very nervous. I didn't like the feeling when I was done.
Felt like I should have a receipt or something.

Wow. Cool. Early voting is something I've always thought about doing, but never have done. I do however like to go on election day, because it feels right, and so I can get the sticker like everyone else that says "i voted." And then I wear it and look to see who else has one, so I can be a voting snob to those who don't have one. Ah...democracy.

I also never tell anyone who I voted for. ever. The people who really know me already know how I'm gonna vote. The other people, I probably don't want them to know.

Well - at least you voted, Ginny. I am still running into many people up this way (CT) who are saying they hate both candidates and won't vote.
And yes, these machines SHOULD give you a receipt. However, with all of the stories out there about how the machines can be tampered with, it may not be reliable.
